As I like high contrast for text I've made a custom CSS setting in konqueror. Turns out accessability setting works best, which I set to follow system theme's colors (white text on dark blue bg). Akregator however does not use this setting, which makes that pages look very different.

This seems to be a special case of Bug 118908.
