Hi!
I have just bought a panasonic lumix dmc-fz-50 camera with a 4 Gbyte card in it.
Wehn I connect via USB on the desktop I see a little camera sign, "USB Mass Storage Interface", Camera.
The Properties Meta Data say: FZ5@ (not 50!)
Dolphin say: Could not read file
Konqueror say: No Item No File No Folder
DigiKam thinks it is a FZ-20, Connection failed

So, I cannot read the photos of the camera, at all.

Please, help, what should I do?
Do I have to bring the camera back? Or is there a solution?

Thanks.

I use Kubuntu GG. (Where can I find the exact version?)

Greetings,

Tamas

Hello again,
some threats later I found the solution:
"The Panasonic DMC-TZ3 must be set to "Print mode" via the rotating dial that
sits atop the camera in order to be put in PTP mode. Once the camera is set
to Print Mode in this way, both digiKam and gphoto2 work splendidly with
it."

Yes, "Print mode" does work but it does not display movie files.

I have Ubuntu 8.04, GNOME 2.22.2 and KDE 3.5.9.

In GNOME I have no problem to use PC mode in camera and to see and download pictures and movies. In KDE in PC mode I am getting error code 50, in PTP mode I can see pictures only.
