Description p 2008-01-18 10:22:49 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
OS:                Linux

I can't configure in kget how many connections it should open in parallel for download. This makes kget very slow in downloading. I just made a test

kget: 6 kbyte/s
firefox: 16 kbyte/s
d4x (10 parallel slots configured): 120 kbyte/s

surly the values itself vary over time, but this is the general picture. Can we add this feature? Without this feature I always have to use d4x, which works nice but I prefer to have a native kde app.

Thanks!

Are you using KGet2?
There you can configure the parallel connections:
KGet->Settings->Plugins->MultiSegKio->Segments...

He is using 3.5.8.
In the KDE 4.0 version this feature has already been implemented.
