Version:            (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
OS:                Linux

Using some font sizes, I see mangled fonts on ubuntuforums.org (as seen in the attachment). If I increase size by one, it vanishes but reappears if I increase it by two sizes. (same with one/resp two steps smaller)

This is on Kubuntu Hardy with latest kde4.0.0 packages.

I am guessing that you have Tahoma installed, and it's either a default or 
specified by the webpage..

Yes I have Tahoma installed. But it is no default on my side.
