Hello,

Currently there is no way of inviting a user into a group chat in Jabber. We should be able to click on a user and request that they join or invite them into a particular group chat which I am already in.

This has been available in some releases, but is broken atm, see http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/6628/ for patch.
