There is no kdesktop and kicker in KDE 4, but plasma.

About OpenOffice, you have to ask to your GNU/Linux distribution. KDE has nothing to do with it.

1) yeah, ~/Desktop folder is kinda readonly
2) it's a more or less known problem in KRun when dolphin is the default filemanager

please report one item per bug report. reporting multiple items makes it impossible to do proper bug triage. that said, every item in your list is either a duplicate report or a bug in your packages. i'm going to close this as INVALID because i can't triage it properly otherwise, but rest assured that all your issues here are already known and reported here as well so they won't get forgotten =)

----------------

What do you mean by that? I cannot understand.
I guess if I (or s/o else) can't properly work with Desktop it mean to be a serious bug!
Comment 6 Aaron J. Seigo 2008-01-15 06:58:45 UTC
it doesn't mean that it's a bug in kde, however. as i stated above, there are some valid items in your report, but there are some issues, such as the OpenOffice one, that aren't kde problems.

the items in your report that are valid have already been reported and are duplicates. however, since your reported more than one item in this report, i can't properly mark it as a duplicate since it's a duplicate of multiple bugs.

i think where Rustam also got confused is:
kdesktop and kicker have been replaced with plasma. So for kde 4, you can't report bugs for kdesktop or kicker, but you have to fill them against plasma, since plasma does the job of kicker and kdestop now.

How can I do that? Or where I can find step-by-step information?
Comment 9 Beat Wolf 2008-01-15 12:12:38 UTC
You simply have to select plasma as the product when reporting bugs, and not kdesktop or kicker
