this sounds a lot more like a kwin-composite issue. I'm assuming you can't see any windows after this happens - really just blackness and the mouse? it's possible that you haven't configured xorg correctly. there's a howto somewhere... whoops, forgot to reassign So I have 3.5.8 works with composite module very well, I have got shadows and other... But when I install 4.0 I "can't see any windows after this happens - really just blackness and the mouse"... Please attach the kwin output you get from the time effects are being activated. Waiting for a response. |
