Description Andrei Chitic 2008-01-13 00:24:38 UTC
Version: 2.4.0 (using KDE KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I am not sure if this is not a problem with my system / config , but in my case, Kppp has the Login ID and Password text boxes locked (main window), and I cannot fill anything.

I was able to create a new connection though.

I'm using KDE 4.0.0 (Kubuntu packages) on a real machine, having Kubuntu 7.10
Comment 1 Andrei Chitic 2008-01-13 21:27:07 UTC
Same issue appears on the Kubuntu 7.10 KDE 4 Live CD
Is it another distro related problem?
Comment 2 Harri Porten 2008-01-26 21:31:12 UTC
On the very first startup the fields are locked because there is no account to choose from and connect to. Once you choose Configure and create a new account that account should show up with the fields enabled. Works for me. Can you confirmed the boxes remain locked after an account has been created?
Comment 3 Andrei Chitic 2008-01-26 22:08:01 UTC
Yes. I can confirm that.
As I said in the firs comment, I was able to create a connection, I created it, but the fields are still locked so... I have to use the KDE 3.5 Kppp
Comment 4 Harri Porten 2008-01-27 00:22:28 UTC
And if you shut down kppp and restart it: is the account you created still listed in the configuration dialog?
Comment 5 Andrei Chitic 2008-01-27 09:09:31 UTC
Yes. The account is there all the time. (I think it could be a config issue on my side?)

Have you experienced this bug again with a recent KDE version? (4.1.3 / 4.2beta2 / 4.2svn) ? Thanks :)
