openSuSE10.2 with
KDE Version: 3.5.5 "release 45.6" 
QT Version:  3.3.7
Kernel:      2.6.18.8-0.7-default
k3b version k3b-1.0.4-7.1 and laptop NEC slim Optiarc DVD RW AD-7543A 1-00

If I setup option to do verify after burning k3b do burning, but after successful burning do nothing (only time is coming forward). I have to push cancel and exit program. All data is OK on DVD.

I can confirm. I have k3b 1.0.4, openSuse 10.3, Laptop (i.e. manually-closing dvd burner)
It did work in older release (cannot remember which).
