I can confirm that. Also valid for 4.0.0 (kubuntu gutsy package) and svn revision 758014. Suspend (both 2disk and 2ram) works fine from a kde 3.5.8 session. Kubuntu uses HAL for that - like Solid should. :) I confirm also at revision 780161. kpowersave of kde3 used from the kde4 panel works ok. Confirmed on 4.0.1 (Kubuntu Gutsy package). Selecting suspend from KDE's logout menu does nothing, only using KDE 3's KPowersave helps. Is this fixed in the 4.1 alpha, does anyone know ? Yay! It works again on trunk at revision 804239. I have the same issue with kde 4.2.3. It locks X tries to hibernate but it can't. However /usr/sbin/hibernate-ram scripts work as expected. Works fine on Debian. Bug still there in Kubuntu 4.3.2 (karmic) 2.6.31. - /usr/sbin/pm-hibernate works fine - suspend to disk from KDE4 logout GUI does not work (just a black screen and nothing else). WFM in Kubuntu 9.10 beta (KDE 4.3.2). Works in Kubuntu only if uswsusp is installed. Debian does not need uswsusp to installed (seems to use pm-hibernate). The KDE4 "suspend to disk" script effect is variable and depending on distribution. Then, to be considered as a remark/comment, and not a bug. |
