Description Guillaume Martres 2008-01-05 15:06:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Currently, if you want to use a SMB printer you need to do the following:
- choose anonymous login
- Scan the network
- click the network group of your computer to see your computer's name
- go back
- choose guest login
- click on the name of your computer
- click on your printer's name

I've made a patch to fix that by looking at what system-config-printer(the fedora/gnome printer tool) did. This patch has already been accepted in Ubuntu and will be part of Ubuntu 8.04

KDEPrint is obsolete, unmaintained and will never be revived. Closing all open bugs.
