Actually you can only use the filter bar which filter only by name. You can use the "group" feature and sort file for data, type, size. Isn't enough? Such kind of filterbar is available in 4.6.0. |
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.97.0) I'd like to see an optional filter panel for the Dolphin file manager. The panel would contain the following components: (a) a combo box with at least the options "Filter by name", "Filter by date" and "Filter by type", (b) a list of filters ("Office documents", "Web documents", "Images" ...) and (c) a text entry for quick filtering by name. I thing it's a good idea to separate filtering from indexed search, since filtering is quicker if you know which folder contains your data.
