Sample of a tiff file generated from XSane v 0.994
This is a sample image file that cause digikam error message.
there is no crash here. Gilles Caulier Marcel, this tiff file is compressed used JPEG codec. I think we don't have include this case in DImg::TiffLoader. Right ? Here gimp and imagemagick can open the tiff file. Gilles If this new informations can help you. Digikam can load B&W tiff file with JPEG codec but not color one. Also, if in XSane preferences, I choose "pack bits" as 8 bits compression option for color picture scanned as a tiff file, Digikam can read and show the picture. Well, I scanned a lot of color pictures with JPEG codec and saved as tiff files. So, it will be nice a solution will be found in Digikam. Thanks Pierre, The problem still valid with 0.9.3 ? Gilles Caulier Gilles, I solved the problem by converting all pictures with a batch process. Today, I have just completed the compilation of version 0.9.4. I will do a try with the "problematic" TIFF format as soon as possible. I forgot to give it a try with version 0.9.3 Pierre, What's news about this file ? It still valid using digiKam 0.9.4 ? Gilles Caulier Message from Pierre by private mail: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, I use digikam 0.10 under KDE4. Since my first bug report, I don't experiment a similar problem again. regards Pierre Lepage -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I close this file now.
