In light of the impeding KDE4 release, I am going through all bug reports I am involved in. To the best of my knowledge, this issue is still open. This will probably go away as soon as we use Akonadi-based models and views. If not, this is more likely a Qt bug. The problem is alternate row coloring, which, in Qt4, is handled by Qt, not by KDE. The same problem is in KNode. In KDE3, the mails are not colored differently between row/column, at least not in my setup. Thanks for re-versioning my bugs, btw :) By the way, are you able to reproduce this? >In KDE3, the mails are not colored differently between row/column, at least not in my setup. Well, each KListView as alternate row colors, at least the code seems to be executed in your case (even if it might be turned of) >By the way, are you able to reproduce this? Only in KNode, as I have much larger folders there. > Well, each KListView as alternate row colors, at least the code seems to be executed in your case (even if it might be turned of)
Interesting. Thanks!
Any objection against /me abusing my newfound powers and setting this to confirmed, then?

No objections. However, it is very unlikely that anyone will work on a fix,
given that the bug will probably go away with Akonadi.
Yah, no problem. I just like to keep track of stuff :) This bugs the f*** out of me, please fix it :(. tested with kmail/trunk on a folder with > 22k mails, this is no longer a problem. It seems the port to Qt4 and the new model/view based listview have solved it. Closing. |
