Description Tom Fernandes 2007-12-07 15:09:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

In richtext mode, when pressing ENTER, a paragraph (<p>) is made out of the current line instead of just starting a newline (<br>). That means: pressing ENTER makes a big gap between the current line and the new line - looking weird. Only a CTRL-ENTER gives the result of creating a new line with the normal linespacing. This is also an undocumented feature AFAICS.

IMHO it's more intuitive (user-friendly) that the user gets just a new line when he presses ENTER (like in most applications). Inserting a paragraph is handy but not as frequently used as creating a new line and should be thus CTRL-ENTER.

Also please document the CTRL-ENTER feature.
