Description Stephan Sokolow 2007-12-04 06:16:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

Some of my favorite ncurses applications (eg. mutt and midnight commander) use their own screen clearing code which draws non-transparent black (I use pseudo-transparency black in Yakuake and it uses the Konsole KPart and my Konsole settings) for backgrounds... not to mention other non-transparent colors in some places.

I'd like the option to have Konsole apply pseudo-transparency to ncurses-specified background colors the same way it does when no background color is specified.

Oops. Can someone with admin please change this to a feature request? I accidentally submitted it as bug and, even if you do see it as a bug, it's too minor to really count as one.

This wish was for KDE3 konsole. AFAIK, KDE4 konsole jut does not support pseudo-transparency by design.
