It would be nice to be able to add markers to multiple plots simultaneously using the Edit Multiple feature of the Edit Plot dialogue.  Currently in Edit Multiple mode the "New" input box is disabled.

This request doesn't fit within the existing framework of markers. Possibly later, but not in 1.6.
