Description Michi 2007-11-25 08:55:55 UTC
Version:           2.0 Beta1 (using KDE 3.96.1 (KDE 4.0 >= 20071120), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-rc3-git1-mic

I think the short description is verbose enough, but I think it would be a good idea to relate download groups in kget with a default destination folder. Or what else could be the rational behind the groups? I have no clue ...

thx M;chi

That's done in KGet 2.1 =)

I can assign download folders to groups in current KGet (KDE 4.1.1 on openSUSE), but when I assign a group to a new download, it doesn't change anything: the dialog still suggests to save a file in a default download location.

So assigning folders to groups effectively doesn't do anything, and this bug status can not be "FIXED"

Also I would like the new downloads to be assigned to currently selected group, not the default one.

This problem still can't be considered as "fixed". When I start a new download, I don't get a prompt for which group I want to put my download in, I am prompted with destination folder, and it's the same no matter what group is active at the moment

(using KDE 4.2.4 on Gentoo)

Can you try KDE 4.3's KGet, the whole group/default folder stuff changed, should be fixed really now...

In 4.3 it works just fine indeed. Thanks for your effort.
