Description conrad_schuler 2007-11-25 02:27:13 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs0
OS: Linux

Only three 'Mouse Button Actions' are offered under Personal Settings - Desktop - Behavior - General.

Can there be a default for 3 mouse button actions, and a new way to add more mouse button actions?

I like setting up menus that call existing programs and custom bash scripts. Sort of the functionality of a Kensington mouse that I had on a Mac.

I am using an Evoluent mouse with 5 buttons. It would be great if there were at least 5 mouse button actions available.

There are many people who use mice with more than three buttons. Often people who use more than three buttons are interested in the enhanced usability (for example, using the computer with only one hand).

Errrr... this should have been filed for kdesktop, which however didn't make it from KDE3 to KDE4

Sorry that nobody has ever looked into it.
