Version:           3.4 (using KDE 3.5.8, Debian Package 4:3.5.8.dfsg.1-3 (lenny/sid))
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-2-686

kompare is not understanding that this testcase patch is to be applied to 2 files and not only one as gui shows.

This is the testcase: 
ftp://flower.upol.cz/dts/lin0001_ti-usbserial/patches/v94_ti-usbserial.patch

Open it using kompare and either use kwrite to see the files or use lsdiff. The diff contains 2 files:
linux-2.6.22/drivers/usb/serial/ti_usb_3410_5052.c.orig
linux-2.6.22/drivers/usb/serial/ti_usb_3410_5052.h.orig

whereas kompare is only showing *.c.orig

This is a dupe of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=139209 which seems to be solved with that patch.
