Sentry Crash Report:

Description Alexander Malashenko 2007-11-13 23:15:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
Compiler: gcc 4.1.2
OS: Linux

I know that it was reported about this bug many times earlier. But it is very annoying and still exists. So, I decided to put the bug as new one again, sorry.
I found out, that Icons/Files loose their positions after relogin more often when they have size 32, there are a lot of them on Desktop and when ~/.kde/share/apps/kdesktop/IconPositions file includes unexistent previously deleted items. For example, if to delete file by command "rm" or midnight commander and then press ALT+CTRL+BackSpace the corresponding entry will not be deleted from IconPositions file and will exist forever! In a one month it can be a mess of unexistent entries in the file. As a result Icons/Files becomes to lose their positions after relogin.

Thank you!

Kdesktop is no more mantained. Fortunatly this bug seems not to be valid for
KDE 4. Please reopen if this bug is not a kdesktop one (and it is not solved)
or it can be reproduced on KDE 4.

Thanks.
