Version:           3.5.7enterprise20070926 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)

It keeps an infinite time to load the list of messages
I have to close and restart kmail.

The version you are using (enterprise20070926) is very experimental, please try a newer version (enterprise200711xx) and reopen if the problem still happens.
