Description MKuutti 2007-11-08 09:38:46 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
OS:                Linux

When adding entries to "Custom Menu", selecting f.e. konqueror under "Known Applications -> Internet -> Konqueror", command line "kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing" appears to application name box. However, Custom Menu entry "Konqueror" does not start webbrowsing profile, ~/.kde/share/config/kdesktop_custom_menu1 contains line "Item2=kfmclient". I tried to manually add full line to config-file but it was ignored.

Another odd thing was that I have 2 konsole entries in Custom Menu, "Konsole" for UTF-8 konsole and "Konsole ISO8859-15" for iso8859-15 encoding. kdesktop_custom_menu1 contains lines:
Item7=konsole
Item1=konsole-script
which launch both successfully correct konsoles (I added iso8859 konsole to application menu before). I have no idea where "konsole-script" is defined, I tried rgrep "konsole-script" .kde with only kdesktop_custom_menu1 matching. Also find ~/.kde did not find "konsole-script".

Kubuntu Gutsy (7.10) with kde 3.5.8

It would be REALLY nice if Custom Menu editing would integrate to kmenuedit or customizing of "Desktop Menu" and others menus was possible.

In KDE4 you can change the command that is executed for all items (including custom ones)

If I misunderstood and you still have this problem on with a resent version, please reopen.
