Thankyou for reporting. Can you tell me how to enable input of Panjabi into kate, in order to reproduce this? I can't find anything on google about it, and installing the packages here didn't add it to skim (the input method switcher i have installed).
Comment 2 A S Alam 2007-11-07 02:48:39 UTC
for google, as Panjabi== Punjabi, but I guess only "Punjabi" is used everywhere
so may be that issue and "Panjabi" no-where.

I m using skim (scim) for Input Punjabi, with Following package
---
aalam@linux-aalam:~> rpm -qa scim* skim*
skim-1.4.5-120
scim-qtimm-0.9.4-121
scim-tables-additional-0.5.7-109
scim-1.4.7-24
scim-tables-skim-0.5.7-109

I have now been able to test this, and indeed this problem is the same as that for bug 152808, which I fixed recently. So, this should be fixed if you install KDE from svn, or try any version after RC2 (eg. RC3, when released)

yes, it is fixed in latest Release
kde4-kate-3.97.1-2.5 (RC2)
kdebase4-3.97.1-2.5

thanks
