it crashes every time I try to sign into msn, kopete opens, but crashes every time i try to sign in... here is the log files........

See the patch in bug 150913 to fix this.

It also says:
The application Kopete (kopete) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)

What is this?

An application mostly reveices the SIGSEGV signal due to a bug in the application. The application was asked to save it's documents.

update your installation. the crash is an kubuntu packaging problem.
