Description Robert Myers 2007-11-02 17:52:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

When I change my system's icon theme, the icons in my System Tray do not update with the rest of the icons on my system. The do update after I log out and sign back in, or when I restart my system.

currently this needs to be handled on a case by case basis by applications. this needs to be fixed in ksystemtrayicon in kdelibs to make it handled for the apps. i'll try and fix this in kde 4.1 at least. it will require some API additions as we'll need to store the name of icon.

This Bug Still Affects KDE SVN Revision 821280,
When The System Color Theme Is Changed, The Icons Backgrounds Do Not Even Try To Step Into Line Until Something Like Menus Opening Over Them Forces Them To Redraw And Be More Color Theme Friendly. But Even After That They Still Don't Look Too Consistant, With A Hard Main Color Theme Color Surrounding Them.
Eg: With Oxygen, The Hard Main Color Is White

This should be ok with Plasma 6.
