BTW.: I think, it's a good style to put a http link where to find a missing package. googling for "Blitz" is not that easy. > isbetter:/usr/src/blitz-0.0.3/build # make install
Old version.
Please use the version you find in the subversion of KDE, trunk/kdesupport/qimageblitz.
There is no tar-ed version for a PRE-release candidate? BAD! Somebody should create a tar release of blitz because simple-structured admins want tar files. I think the confusion comes from the error message, which talks about Blitz, while we actually want QImageBlitz if you're using openSUSE, try the libqimageblitz-devel package from openSUSE buildservice KDE:KDE4 Guys, if you want to release KDE4 you should create a REAL source tar package from QImageBlitz AND put in cmake a http reference to the page were simple-structured-admins like me will find it. Thanks for the openSUSE buildservice hint. But I don't like rpm's - NO chance to get a pure bzipped, clean, vendor-independent tar package? QImageBlitz is not under KDE's control, you should talk to its maintainer about creating a new real release. Ups, I thought it's under kde control because repository is kde.org? What I meant is that its release schedule and the creation of tarball's is not under the control of the KDE release team - AFAIK at least. ok, I used http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/kdesupport/qimageblitz/blitz/ Help for others: svn checkout svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/kdesupport/qimageblitz But many other simple-structured-admins should get a tar file. Please dear KDE developer, YOU can make much more pressure on the QImageBlitz maintainer to release a new version before KDE4 comes out. Otherwise you might get more stupid questions like my questions. Agree on this. Right now i try to compile kdebase 4.0.2 and it fails with blitz. It would (have) saved me some time if there was a http link to blitz (now i have to google, still not sure where to get it) ;) For all of those that dont want to google, "blitz" is on http://sourceforge.net/projects/qimageblitz |
