Description Elmar Stellnberger (AT/K) 2007-10-29 17:48:24 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using KDE 3.5.7 "release 72" , openSUSE 10.3)
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.9-0.4-default

hiding the main menu bar (View/Ansicht) will hide it forever:
* no helpful context menu for right click on plain region of register panes bar
* stays hidden on restart

Removing .kde4/share/config/krdcrc has been the only way to fix that.

This is true, but it is not a KRDC issue. Every KDE application that provides such a "Hide toolbar"-action is affected from this problem.
Comment 2 Elmar Stellnberger (AT/K) 2007-10-29 22:29:01 UTC
  At the moment I can not think of any other kde app offering to hide the main menu bar. Moreover it promises to show the menu bar by pressing [Ctrl][M]. A right click on an empty area of the register tab bar could offer to show the main menu and desired toolbars via a context menu as well.
  Is this a bug in the KDE-libs so that there is no possibility for the prog. to show it again?

IIRC Kopete and KGet do also offer this hide menubar action. CTRL-M does not work in KDE 4 yet. So, yes, I think this is a bug in kdelibs.

Maybe duplicate of bug #151421 ?
