Description sylecn Song 2007-10-26 14:08:00 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

How to reproduce:
1.Log in to KDE
2.KMenu -> Lock Session, wait a while to enter lock mode.
3.Press spacebar, and unlock window appears.
4.Can't input anything in password box thus can't unlock the session.
5.Wait a while until the unlock window disappear, move the mouse to get unlock window, still can't input anything in the box.
6.So you have to use Ctrl + Alt + BackSpace to restart x server to get computer work again.

Additional description:
# Move the mouse to get unlock window and enter password, unlock will work.
# Press [a-zA-z0-9] to get unlock window will work.
# But if spacebar is pressed first, you won't be able to input anything, all won't work.

I'm using a laptop computer with an external usb keyboard. I don't know if that matters.

My system info:
Kubuntu 7.10
Linux 2.6.22-14-generic
KDE 3.5.8

At "How to reproduce" step 3, if Enter was pressed, the session also can't be unlock.

Hi! Can you still reproduce using KDE 3.5.10 or KDE 4?
Comment 3 FiNeX 2008-11-26 13:58:21 UTC
The reporter confirmed (by private email) that the problem is no more reproducibile using KDE4. I confirm it too.
