Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.94.0)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
Compiler:          kubuntu 7.10 amd64 installed kde4 beta3 as advised on the kubuntu.org page
OS:                Linux

All applications (I played with the available plasmoids and started firefox) have extremely small fonts, like size 4 :-)

Of course I couldn't even change them as kcontrol started the control center for kde 3.5.8

Hi!

No, the problem is gone, but I think mainly because I set the monitor dpi with nvidia settings :-P

This was probably not a kde4 bug after all :-P
