Description David 2007-10-21 16:11:48 UTC
Version: kopete 0.12.7 using kde 3.5.8 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 4.1.2
OS: Linux

kopete does not record properly the status of some properties of my webcam (I've tried with two different models).

Every time I start kopete, my webcam is sending black and white images, and I need to adjust the 'saturation' value to have color. After pressing OK, this is saved until I close kopete, because when I reopen, it is reverted to previous values (saturation 0)

I can confirm this. I have a TV card, and each time I open the kopete preferences, I have to readjust the Saturation there or in the TV viewing application that I use (tvtime).

Kopete 0.12.7
KDE 3.5.8
Debian Unstable

Fixed in 4.0, trunk and 3.5.x. Don't remember the commit, but I made it and tested. I'm closing the bug.
