Description Léonard G 2007-10-20 15:12:15 UTC
Version: 1.9.6 (enterprise 0.20070907.709405) (using KDE 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu3)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic

I have a disconnected Imap account, and i want to move the incoming email to some subfolders of the same account depending on some rules. ( subfolder here seems to be a key point, since before i used to do the same but it worked and the only thing i can see is my new subfolder configuration )
For this i use filters of kmail, but the result is
-the first time a new email arrive in the inbox, it get moved locally so apparently everything is fine
-but if i check email again, a new copy of the email appear in the destination folder of the filter and so on.

So i checked on the server with some webmail and saw that the original message was still in the inbox and not moved by the filter, explaining that a new copy comes up each time i check mail...

the fact is that to apply the move of the filter the only thing i can do is synchronize ( check mail ) which seems to consider the move not the right thing to do and instead get the new email again which get move locally as a duplicate....

Léonard,

Since this is a very old version with at least one complete rewrite in between ...do you still get this bug?

Otherwise I propose closing it.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
