It would be even more useful adding this feature to timers, so that you can program recording a show at late night and have the computer to shutdown when the recording is done. There are standalone applications to shutdown the PC at a given time (GShutDown for example - not a KDE app, sorry), but it would be much more convenient to have it integrated. This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc. You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it.
