Do you still have this problem on KDE4? I can't reproduce but my settings are organised different. Good question. 3.5 was a while ago... I am now using 4.6.5. I also do not see the Settings service in Services. That appears to be normal. In that sense, the bug might be solved if nothing exposes settings:// anymore. However, kio_settings still exists. settings:/application-appearance-and-behavior/shortcuts-and-gestures shows the input actions kcm. But, if I click it, it opens as well as from System Settings. However, if I try to access it completely manually entering settings:/application-appearance-and-behavior/shortcuts-and-gestures/khotkeys in Konqueror I still get an Open with dialog. However, this is not actually specific to Input Actions. For example, settings:/application-appearance-and-behavior/shortcuts-and-gestures/keys and settings:/hardware/system-config-printer-kde do the same. In that sense, I think the bug still exists. Works for me in KDE Frameworks 5.47 I'm afraid this issue still exists in the form described in comment #2, as of KDE Frameworks 5.56.0. settings:/application-appearance-and-behavior/shortcuts-and-gestures/khotkeys is now settings:/workspace/shortcuts/khotkeys I suggest lowering the ticket's importance though. |
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Christian Hammers reported the following in Debian #374712: The normal way of configuring Input Actions using the KDE Control Center does work, just the following way is broken: * click on Home button (kfmclient openProfile filemanagement) * click on "Services" folder on the left panel * Open the tree view by clicking on "Settings" and below that on Regional & Accessibility, the URL changes to "settings:/Accessibility/" * then click the icon for "Input Actions" that appeared in the right frame * An "Open with:" dialog with the URL "settings://Accessibility/khotkeys" pops up Clicking on the "Country/Region" or "Keyboard Layout" icons works i.e. opens the KDE Control Center dialog.
