Korean input breaks when ASCII characters used between Korean words. Note that a whitespace and punctuations are all ASCII characters. That means it is practically unusable make Korean presentation with KPresenter. 

I hope you have a Korean font since I have to to give you an example in Korean.

Two or three Korean alphabet forms one letter of a syllable. For example, "안녕" is a two syllable word meaning "Hi". Each letter "안" and "녕" are syllables. "안" is a syllable composed of three Korean alphabets 'ㅇ', 'ㅏ', and 'ㄴ'. "녕" is also a syllable composed of three Korean alphabets 'ㄴ', 'ㅕ', 'ㅇ'. So, when we type six strokes in the Korean input mode, the Korean input automaton composes those alphabets into two syllables.

However, when we try to type "안녕" in KPresenter slide title or text box it just breaks up as single alphabet something like "ㅇㅏㄴㄴㅕㅇ" rather than composing into two syllable letters "안녕".

I've found a very strange work around to avoid this problem. When you type whitespace twice in a row, the Korean input automaton seems to work well until you type any ASCII characters such as whitespace or punctuations. That is, you should type whitespace twice every time before you type any Korean word.

There is no problem using Korean in KWord. Even in KPresenter, Korean works well in the Node text form where you put additional notes for the handout. However, this problem only happens in the slide title and text boxes in the KPresenter.

Therefore, I think this is not some input method problem but a bug in the KPresenter. Urgent fix needed. Thanks.

I've heard a report from a Korean Gentoo guy that there is no Korean input problem in Gentoo's KPresenter. Maybe Debian packaging problem?

I've heard a report from a Korean Arch Linux user there is no Korean input problem in Arch's KPresenter. Likely to be a Debian packaging problem?

SUSE Linux user reported that he had the same problem! Not only a Debian problem.
