Currently kopete does not show photos in jabber groupchat rooms.
Only way to make them appear is to view user info of every groupchat member, but then the images are copied to jabberphotos directory and user needs to delete them after the groupchat.

That would be very useful, because it makes a lot easier to see who wrote what, especially, if there are a lot of people in the groupchat that type fast.

Tried to look into this and it seems (from XML console) that the photo data is downloaded just fine from the server, but not just displayed. No idea what's wrong in there, perhaps some limitation in user handling?

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
