Version:           1.9.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from:    Slackware Packages

whenever a mail is sent containing a line starting with "from"

eg.
"from abc."

it is transmitted as ">from ..."

in my example
">from abc."

this effect comes from gmx, not from kmail... :-\

Maybe not, see bug 146975. The reporter there is using web.de.
