P.D.: See also: http://developer.berlios.de/forum/forum.php?forum_id=17148 Fixed in latest 3.5 branch. Please send a request to the Gentoo maintainers to update their ebuilds. I checked the version I have installed in gentoo agains the kdenetwork-3.5.7 that can be downloaded in kde website, and they have the same md5sum, so it means I already have the 3.5 latest!! (I have in gentoo system: kde-base/kopete-3.5.7-r1) Is this really latest or what is happening? You said it was resolved in 3.5 tree, but what's latest version of kopete inside 3.5.7? Didn't I have already latest? Thanks. the absolute latest code comes from the subversion repository. As we fix bugs, the releases will start to lag behind until a new release is made. This should be fixed in the subversion repository. You'd have to checkout the code from there in order to get the latest fixes. This bug was fixed in 3.5.8 release of kde, I confirmed it, but now I reopen, as I can reproduce it again with kopete 0.40.3 (in kde 4 RC2). I know, 4.0.0 has been released, but I don't have it installed yet, I have 3.9 for testing and wanted to notify. Cam is recognized, but all is a green screen, so this may be a regression (in the past, it worked). Maybe this line from CMake configure stage is the cause: -- /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kdenetwork-9999.4/work/kdenetwork-9999.4/kopete/protocols/msn: skipped subdir $(WEBCAM) |
Version: kopete-0.12.5 using kde 3.5.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc 4.1.2 OS: Linux I've been reading though the internet problems like this one, but I think it is not notified to kopete devs: I've installed the linuxuvc module for my webcam which is incorporated in my laptop Samsung R70).
