Description trustytrev 2007-09-01 19:57:35 UTC
Version: 0.99-beta2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: I Don't Know
Compiler: Target:i586-mandriva-linux-gnu Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.8.tex5
OS: Linux

Unable to use bluetooth at all. With usb adapter inserted unable to run hardware configuration ,or check hardware programs just freeze. As soon as adapter is removed all programs burst into life.Computer will not boot into linux with dongle inserted. It just halts.Boot up continues upon removal of dongle as normal.Been unable to get anywhere resolving problem as everything stops with adapter inserted.Problem has occurred with two different adapters. The first was a Mikomi Bluetooth usb adapter. The second is a Belkinusb adapter class2 V2.0 plusEDR.I had read postings that this adapter worked with Linux. It appears usb bluetooth adapters cause problems with bluetooth for quite a few people with various distributions.I have also tried the adapters with Knoppix,Fedora core6 and Live Kmobile. It has failed to operate with any of them.I am unable to take options to set up anything as the windows for such things do not operate.Windows XP works fine.

This crash report is at least 4 years old and there were no further comments or status updates since then.

Therefore we believe that this crash is already fixed in KDE 4 or the backtrace is no longer applicable to KDE 4.

If the crash still happens with a recent KDE version (4.7.4 or 4.8), please add an updated backtrace or provide steps to reproduce. For more information, see http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

(To prevent automatic closing of this bug in the future, please set the bug status to ASSIGNED or NEW)

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
