I usually use a squid proxy on my laptop. But going on vacation, my new IP-address was not permitted to use the proxy. Resulting in an "Access denied" when trying to surf pages in Konqueror. At the same time, Kopete would crash with a segfault each time I tried to connect to MSN. After setting konqueror to connect directly to the internet, everything works fine.

Can you provide backtraces of these crashes?
