Much to my dislike HTML mails seem to have become a "feature" of KMail and probably will be supported in the future :)

I think it would be nice to have a config file option to disable even the _possibility_ of rendering (and - perhaps separately - composing) of HTML mails. I am aware of the present GUI options in the configuration dialogs ("prefer html over plain text" IIRC), but one can still click on an individual mails "activate formatted HTML display for this message by clicking here" link.

I'm concerned that some of the more ingenuous of my users might click on that link to enable the rendering of a HTML only (scam) mail. By disabling this option in the config file they would not have the possibility to do so.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
