Konqueror seems to auto update only the creation or removal of files, but not their details, unless you have copied (or cut) and pasted with konqueror itself.

This afternoon (about 1 pm) I copied a document of yesterday with a new name, and I have been working on the new document all day long, saving several times (with a non-KDE programme). At 8.20 pm, on konqueror and detailed view, the shown modification time was still yesterday! Only after pressing the "update" button, konqueror updated the modification time into the correct one.

Looks like a dupe of bug 118136 which describes the same problem for other meta data.
