Sentry Crash Report:

Description Anand Vaidya 2007-07-25 09:28:58 UTC
Version: 0.5.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: NA NA
OS: Linux

Problem:

When a pdf file from a URL is opened, kpdf downloads and displays the document. The downloaded file is stored in /tmp eg:

anand@laptop-aries5672:~/conf$ file /tmp/kde-anand/kpdfRDce4a.tmp
/tmp/kde-anand/kpdfRDce4a.tmp: PDF document, version 1.5

However, when File-SaveAs is clicked, kpdf downloads the file once again wasting bandwidth, especially bad for large files (I do have several PDFs in the 10-30MB range).

Proposed Solution: kpdf should just copy the cached copy in /tmp to wherever the user wants.
