basically some radio like functionality / cpu (nice) like priorities. I want to be able to (for example say any track newer than 1 month should be "overplayed" and increase it's likely hood of being played. There may also be some artists that I'm sick of hearing, but wouldn't mind if they were played some of the time. I could de-prioritize them and they would get less than normal play time. also increasing priority by the #songs that an artist.

an example. The band Metallica has 10 albums and more than 120 songs this is seriously out of proportion to the other bands on my computer most of which I might only have 20-30 songs for (if that) because of this if I include them in my playlist I hear way.. to much of them.

Increased prioritization... I just bought the album of band X... I'm not much of a person for listening to it back to back a couple of times... but it would be nice if I didn't have to queue up the tracks every now and then to get a better feel for them because otherwise they just play too infrequently in my 15k track playlist.

are you talking about random mode in the playlist or what?

I would say while in random mode... or even dynamic playlists. It could be a playlist setting, or set somewhere else. 

You understand what I'm mean by giving things priorities right?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug for Amarok. Amarok 1.4 is now unmaintained and will no longer see any improvements. Because of this, and the massive amount of changes Amarok has undergone throughout the 2.x series of releases, we are closing bugs that no longer apply to the 2.x series due to changes in functionality, the underlying architecture, or a conflict for the vision of Amarok 2.
