Sentry Crash Report:

Description Christoph Trassl 2007-07-18 21:49:47 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

I would like to see an optional checksum field in the file overwrite dialog. Optional should mean, that there should be a settings entry to disable the feature completely or for large files in dolphin settings.

I assume the file overwrite dialog belongs to kfm*, so this is possibly not a real dolphin wish. But because dolphin is becoming the new standard filemanager for kde, I think the wish is not in the wrong place here.

Thanks in advance.

Christoph, you are right that this is outside the scope of Dolphin. I changed the product to kdelibs -> hopefully a core developer (David Faure?) can have a look on this wish...

Thanks a lot.

I just found this report because the same thing has been reported again today.

I reassigned the other report to the KF5 version of KIO, where this would have to be implemented.
