Version:           inconnu (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu14)
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-15-generic

When I try do disconnect the current user from kde, the session is shuting down, but kdm isn't starting anymore ! The computer stays at the command line level, and I have to restart kdm manually to be able to connect...

your X server is crashing; kdm's reaction is perfectly valid.
you may try the TerminateServer option to work around the problem.
