Description a-acc 2007-07-03 16:58:17 UTC
Version: 0.8.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

In kde there is only one download manager (kget) but most are for gnome and do not work very well in kde (or at all :( ).

A good example for a download manager is flashget (unfortunately only for win) and I think some of its features should be integrated into kget.

- ability to connect to downloadserver by entering the username and password (connection dialog)
- shutdown button (shutdown when finished)
- export downloadlist (only url's)
- button that let move the selected item only one row up/down and not only to the top/bottom
- possibility to easily limit download speed
- possibility to add comments to each download
- possibility to change the url and the target folder afterwards
- divide the download list in several groups (download, downloaded, deleted) to reactivate old downloads for example
- display a download graph into the drag&drop window (to have a short preview about the current download process)
