Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
Compiler:          default ubuntu 6.06 dapper gcc 
OS:                Linux

steps to reproduce:

rm -f /usr/share/apps/konsole/*.desktop

start konsole and it will segfault

This should be handled gracefully...

only the "shell.desktop" file should be required.

Hello,

I am not able to reproduce this in KDE 3.5.7 ( Kubuntu Feisty ).  When removing all the .desktop files all that happens is that the corresponding session types disappear from the Session menu.

As per my earlier comment, I cannot reproduce this here with a recent version of Konsole.
