Version: 1.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)

Hi,

after it took some time for me to find out how to burn a CD-Extra (data track after audio): Mixed mode CD with the appropriate option, I have a problem with a part of this.
K3B does not write the 2nd session (the audio session is OK) while the data mode is set to "Auto" or "Mode 1". AFAIK data must be always written as "Mode 2/XA" in a second session. Could this be checked?

Regards

Gollum

I don't really understand the problem. K3b never starts writing the second session? Or fails writing it? or only suceeds if you set data mode to mode2 manually?

Hi Sebastian,

sorry for the delay and thanks for your answer/question.

K3B seemed to fail writing the 2nd session while the mode is set to "Auto" or "Mode 1". Now the problem doesn't occur anymore. After the audio session, the CD has been ejected once and after that K3B seemed not to find the previous session.

If it would appear again, I'll report it. Shall I mark this "bug" as resolved (for me it is, and was there anyone else, who reported something similar) ?

Best regards!

Gollum

Hi,

sorry, I had already written a comment, thinking I could make an attachment and could go on writing. All lost...
My problem with the creation of CD-Extra (data track(s) after audio in a second session) still occurs. Here the German status informations after burning the audio session: "Die letzte Sitzung wird gesucht - Die Mehrfachsizuung-Informationen des Mediums ließen sich nicht ermitteln - Das Medium ist entweder leer oder nicht anhängbar" - there seems to be a problem with the re-reading of the session state on my system. The audio session is almost correctly written (cd-text data missing, though marked to be written; the recorder is capable of this). I could not find anything "false" in the uploaded attachment (log), but that means nothing.
Some system info:
Ubuntu 7.10 (kernel 2.6.22-14-386)
Gnome 2.20.1
K3B 3.0.1 (KDE 3.5.8)
Recorder used: NEC ND-4551A
Media used: intenso CD-R black edition

Best regards and a happy New Year!

In an attempt to clean up old bugs that are not valid for K3b 2.0 (=KDE SC 4.x port) anymore, this is now being marked as UNMAINTAINED.
If this bug is still valid for 2.0, please reopen it.
