this could be related to 75709 and 138826 just for icq

happened with the other side having the offical icq client version 5 and also with  trillian 3.16.   no clue if that matters.

as far as i can remeber my chat partner was unable to receive messages as soon as i added him to the contact list and i clicked "user info" ones so the proper name is in the contacts list instead of the number.
i can see what he types,and he can see "user is typing" but not the actual message. happened a few times more but i don't know under which curcumstances. not reproduceable. history plugin enabled. 
i saw the same thing in miranda when history is full.

Of course I can not reproduce it intentionally ;-) - so it's obvious that a fix won't be easy if possible at all. But I'd like to add, I encountered this behaviour, too. So it's not just a problem of Arvids System. Perhaps somebody else will be encouraged to add more useful information in the future after encounting that problem after reading these lines ;-).
